EDGE™ Brackets On Harley Davidson Heritage Softail with OEM Saddlebags |
|
|
|
|
EDGE™ Brackets are really simple to install onto your motorcycle, even with molded OEM saddlebags like the Heritage bags from Harley Davidson. This image demo will give you a great idea of how the brackets get attached to an uneven surface on saddlebags like these. In this case, we used a 1998 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail with OEM Heritage Saddlebags and a set of our GB-HD-UKHBK-106 EDGE™ Brackets.
Step 1 | Step 2 |
|---|
Remove the OEM saddlebags from the bike | Drill out the rivets on the OEM bracket |
|---|
| Step 3 | Step 4 |
|---|
Remove the bracket | Using the OEM mounting holes insert the 1.5” bolts, washers and spacers provided with our kit |
|---|
| Step 5 | Step 6 |
|---|
Place the bracket on the bolts and hand thread the nylocks. Do not tighten with a ranch yet! | Drill the 3rd hole in the bag and use the shorter 1” bolt to secure it by hand only at this time |
|---|
| Step 7 | Step 8 |
|---|
Drill the last, 4th hole | Insert the spacer between the bag and the bracket |
|---|
| Step 9 | Step 10 |
|---|
Use the 1.5” black bolt to attach the assembly | Now secure all four bolts with a ranch |
|---|
| Step 11 | Step 12 |
|---|
Repeat the above steps for the other side | You are ready to hang your bags |
|---|
